Cortney Swindell

Master’s level counseling student

Cortney Swindell is a master's-level counseling student currently completing her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University.

She earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Rehabilitative Studies at The University of North Texas and has spent the past 10 years teaching special education. For the past two years, Cortney has worked in crime victim advocacy with local nonprofit organizations in the community.

Cortney is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and adults through life's challenges in a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment. Her background in education, advocacy, and helping professions has strengthened her commitment to meeting clients where they are and helping them build on their strengths to achieve meaningful growth.

When she is not working or attending classes, Cortney enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children, reading, traveling, visiting different MLB stadiums, and watching reality TV.
